OPEN LETTERS TO GEORGE W. BUSH
Letters to W from his ardent admirer Belacqua Jones

Case Wagenvoord

Case Wagenvoord grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the USMC where he served for five years. After his discharge, he attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana where he earned a BA degree in Political Science. While attending college, Wagenvoord worked as a reporter on the Richmond, Ind. Palladium Item.

He spent several years working as an insurance underwriter in New York City before becoming a househusband caring for his infant daughter while driving a cab in Manhattan. During this time, he earned an MA in Liberal Studies from the New School for Social Research.

He retired as a special education teacher after eighteen years teaching autistic children in Brooklyn.

Wagenvoord returned to writing a year-and-a-half ago when he started a blog on Salon.com. The blog consists of letters written by one Belacqua Jones best described as a Karl Rove on meth. The blog is a scathing critique of the current administration through a series of letters written by a purported supporter. It is also a commentary on the state of American society at the dawn of the twenty-first century.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife of thirty-three years, Marge, and three cats. They have one daughter and two granddaughters.
